Ariana Grande performed an emotional tribute to Aretha Franklin on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The US singer, who has released her new album ‘Sweetener’, paid tribute to the late Aretha Franklin, who sadly passed away yesterday.
Singing her classic 1967 single ‘Natural Woman’, Ariana delivered a stunning rendition alongside The Roots.
She was appearing on the show to promote her new album but requested to sing one of Aretha Franklin’s songs after discovering the breaking news about her death.
According to TMZ, the 25-year-old broke down in tears after leaving the stage.
Producers told the publication she was set to do a comedy sketch but was so emotional she turned it down, revealing Aretha was one of her heroes.
