In a teaser snippet from his new song 'Overtime', the 31-year-old rapper returns with a subtle nod to his recent split with ex-girlfriend Jhené Aiko.
Big Sean is back. The 31-year-old rapper returned this week with a teaser snippet of his new song 'Overtime' and revealed that new music is on the way.

Posting on social media for the first time since May, Sean tweeted that he's "Been workin," before posting a video of him spitting some new bars from his new single.
As well as addressing his short hiatus from music, the Detroit native appears to nod to his split with ex-girlfriend Jhené Aiko. The pair called reportedly called off their two-year relationship at the end of last year.

“I didn’t take a break my n*gga, I broke/ Broke my heart, broke my soul. Don’t cry for me though,” Sean spits in front of a neon side that reads 'Don Life.'
Back in May, Aiko, also 31, dropped her 'Triggered' freestyle, which many took as a diss aimed at Sean. However, the singer later clarified on Twitter that the song was not a diss, but rather "a moment of talking s**t out of frustration and passion."
Later that month, Jhené posted a photo of the ex-lovers together at the beach, captioning the photo "today was a good day," leading many fans to believe the pair had reunited.
Meanwhile, it looks like Sean is gearing up to release his first solo album since 2017's 'I Decided.' In his latest snippet, he says he's firmly in "album mode."
'Overtime' is set to drop Wednesday 24th July at 5pm UK time.
