Last Saturday (6th April) Cardi B took to Twitter after being criticised by a fan, who addresses the negative "messages" the rapper sends to young girls.
Offset Addresses Cardi B Backlash After Shock Video Confession Resurfaced
The humanitarian and mental health advocate who goes by the handle of "Kenidra4Huminty" on Twitter, responded to Cardi B's "I’m just nasty like that" tweet.
Kenidra saw an opportunity to use her humanitarian advocacy and spoke out against the New York rapper. Kenidra addressed Cardi's behaviour and tweeted:
"I love you ALOT but I don't agree with the messages you've been sending us young girls. So many of us look at you as a role model and that should send a very loud message." wrote Kenidra.
It wasn't long until Cardi B responded to the activist's plea. Cardi B revealed and confessed that she has been feeling trapped as some fans want her to change and other fans say she has changed, and want the old her back.
Some fans ask Cardi to repress her behavior as she is portraying to be a bad "role model". Fans who loved Cardi B for her, don't want her to become more repressed, as thats not Cardi's's style.

Cardi B took to Twitter and responded to Kenidra stating:
"I been feeling trap and sad cause it’s not ME but everybody tell me to be it for me to be this “rolemodel” and guess what ? People still spit my past right in my face so for now imma be my old self again," Cardi confessed in response to Kenidra's concerns.
Cardi B represents a real woman who grew up in rough conditions a made a name for herself. Cardi's career took off because of her likeable personality attracting many fans.
Although Kenidra's point is the view of many, Cardi B has made it possible for many young people to look up to her and be inspired by how she has turned her life around.
Not only did Cardi B grow up in a rough area, she got into many bad habits because of the affect her environment had on her.
In other news, Offset came to his wife's defense by revealing that Cardi was instrumental in paving the way for female rappers to follow suit.
