Ice Cube was the first to leave N.W.A and Ruthless Records because of financial disputes, not long after Dre realised he too was getting the bum end of the deal, but he was stuck in a contract. Band member Jerry Heller says that to get out of it, Suge Knight (The D.O.C) showec up with some guys and weapons demanding Dre was dropped from the contract, which he was.
