Drizzy is ready to return to acting.
Drake is reportedly set to star in the upcoming series of Top Boy after buying the rights from Channel 4.
The Canadian rapper, who has expressed his love for the gritty London-based drama in the past, will now have a “significant role” in the new series.
According to The Mirror, Ashley Walters, who plays Dushane in Top Boy, revealed that the producers of the show met with Drake last week to discuss plans.
“We met up to start talking about the show and we are working out a role for him," he said.
“He loves acting, of course he wanted a part.
“He’s going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it.”
Drake famously starred in Canadian soap Degrassi: The Next Generation, before he quit to focus on music in 2007.
“[Drake] is such a down to earth, nice guy,” added Walters.
“He’s so famous you would expect him to be this crazy character but he’s actually quite boring, in a good way.
“I had a meeting with him and I brought all of my kids along.
“My eldest was chatting away in his ear for ages and he was just cool.”
According to The Mirror, fans can expect the highly-anticipated third series of Top Boy to appear on Netflix in 2018, with Skepta also rumoured to make an appearance.
