However in an alleged conversation with DJ Akademiks, the rapper has finally explained what really happened.
“I’m one prideful motherf*cker, I love competition, I’m always here for it and I’m not ever running from sh*t,” he allegedly told Akademiks.
“But for you as an outsider to this situation, you won’t get it and fans won’t get it because at times sh*t goes beyond just music.”
Akademiks added that Drake told him if the feud continued and it kept on being escalated, it would have gone to a point of no return and it was taking him to a very dark place.
When asked about why he didn’t respond to Pusha T’s diss track, he allegedly said: “It will all make sense, if it doesn’t make sense to you right now.”
Then Drake allegedly clarified: “June 29th, there is music there. You will understand when my project comes out.”
Drake also reportedly took to time to distance himself from rumours that he watered-down his rumoured follow-up diss track and put it on his new album ‘Scorpion’.
