Now R Kelly is being accused of attacking his ex girlfriend Halle Calhoun backstage at one of his shows back in 2017 after he apparently accused her of looking at another man.
At the time of the alleged attack, Halle was around 19 years old and was living with R Kelly when she was reportedly attacked at one of his shows.
Sources close to Halle told TMZ that 'Halle took the first shot, shoving R. Kelly who retaliated by grabbing her by her clothes "around her neck" and tossing her like a rag doll into a wall'.
According to the sources, the alleged attack occured in front of multiple witnesses, which included R Kelly's other girlfriends Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary who still live with the R&B star now.
The source went on to say that 'Halle was most upset R Kelly had broken her necklace, a beloved cross that belonged to a family member'.
'There were at least 2 other violent incidents, including one where R Kelly allegedly slapped Halle -again, because he thought she had looked at a group of men as they entered a hotel'.
According to TMZ, an insider close to R Kelly has denied the claims and stated 'if anything like that had happened, someone would have recorded video and sold it long ago'.
