After Snoop Dogg took home the 'Best Gospel' award at the 2019 BET Awards, fans have shared their confusion on social media.
He's a rap legend and undeniably one of the most iconic Hip Hop stars of all time - but now Snoop Dogg is officially an award-winning Gospel artist too, much to the confusion of Twitter users everywhere.
In a category featuring the likes of Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin, 'Gin And Juice' rapper Snoop Dogg managed to pick up the 'Best Gospel' trophy for his collaboration with Rance Allen called 'Bless Me Again'.

'Bless Me Again' is taken from Snoop Dogg's gospel album 'Bible of Love' which was released back in March 2018, however it seems many people had no idea Snoop had decided to drop a gospel album and they shared their confusion on Twitter.
Comments such as 'Lmao how did Snoop Dogg win gospel song of the year please' and 'Snoop is a gospel artist?' quickly followed along with some pretty hilarious memes as people processed the news.
Clearly someone was paying attention when Snoop released his gospel album as he maged to win the BET Award, but many people on Twitter were left in a state of shock.

Snoop Dogg's previous win at the BET Awards came way back in 2003 when he picked up the 'Best Collaboration' award for his hit song 'Beautiful' with Pharrell and Charlie Wilson.
Having previously released reggae music under the name Snoop Lion, the 'Who Am I' rapper is used to trying his hand at different genres and it seems his gospel persona is definitley a hit, even if there were plenty of people who didn't know it!
