The stars of ‘All Eyez On Me’ spoke to Westwood about the newly-released Tupac biopic.
The stars of 'All Eyez On Me' have opened up about Suge Knight's involvement in the new Tupac biopic.
Speaking to Westwood, Demetrius Shipp Jr., who portrays Pac in the movie, and Kat Graham, who plays Jada Pinkett, spoke openly about Knight, who is currently in prison.
"Suge's been super supportive of this project" Graham explained.
Shipp agreed, arguing that the former Death Row Records CEO's jail-time situation is "none of [their] business".
"I knew Suge before I got this role, so..." he added.
"I know he gets a bad rap in the entertainment business but Suge is actually a smart guy." Shipp said.
"A lot of the time, people want to discredit him and let other things overshadow the work that he did at Death Row Records," adds Graham.
"But he was the first of his kind to be putting out platinum artists simultaneously.”
"He was the only person to actually do it," Shipp agrees, "Especially in the 90’s. Everybody was platinum from Death Row."
Shipp and Graham have been busy promoting the new biopic, which focuses on the life, death and legacy of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur.
'All Eyez On Me' drops today (30th June) in the UK.
