The 2001 VMA's was an eery event for friends and fans of Aaliyah. The 'More Than A Woman' singer was due to present an award at the ceremony, but passed away in a plane crash just one week before the event. Missy Elliott, family and friends took to the stage to pay tribute to the late singer and a beautiful clip of Aaliyah speaking about her life was shown. It was a touching moment. Picture: Getty
