Diddy recently was the first man to be on the ESSENCE cover for Mother's Day as tribute to Kim Porter. Inside the feature, he spoke of Kim Porter's death and how he is coping with dealing with the loss of the mother of three of his biological children.
Diddy Reveals 'Touching' Last Words Kim Porter Shared With Him Before She Passed Away
A new feature has been released of the 'Yes Girl' podcast that hears Diddy in an emotional state, discussing the woman he misses most.
Diddy told the Yes Girl podcast about how he has dealt with Kim Porter's passing.
Diddy revealed:
“Anybody that’s lost a mother or lost a soulmate it takes time. It takes time. They say time heals all wounds when it comes to mothers…I don’t think that’s the case,”
Diddy revealed to Dream Hampton how he feels about the experience of a black mother. He said: “I don’t think anyone would ever understand how hard it is to be a Black mother.”
Diddy's became tearful during the interview and he revealed that he was hesitant to open up at first, but then he wanted to "potential[lly] impact on culture—and anyone who has gone through or is experiencing a similar situation—weighed more heavily than his personal fears."
Diddy revealed there was a deeper purpose of Kim being in his life. He said:
“God sent her for me to teach me something,” he told Hampton.
He continues:
“There’s levels and dimensions to love, and especially love between a man and woman. There’s this place that almost goes beyond friendship. It’s where two people actually feel like a level of responsibility to love this person forever; and a total trust.”
