The mother-of-four addressed the backlash she faced after posting photos of 6-year-old daughter North West wearing a nose ring.
Kim Kardashian has responded to criticisms after posting photos of her 6-year-old daughter North wearing a nose ring.
In a series of snaps taken from her great-grandmother MJ's 85th birthday, North can be seen snuggling up to her mother, cousins and aunt Khloe wearing the nose jewellery and a bindi on her forehead.
However, soon after mother Kim, 38, posted the images, some social media users expressed their opinion that North is growing up too fast, while questioning whether the ring was real or not.
"My mama would’ve snatched my whole nose at that age!" wrote one user, while another added, "My mama would have snatched me tf up."
"She’s too grown for her age !!! First the belly shirts then actually wearing her mom heels outside !! Wearing makeup now this? Let her be a kid!!!!" wrote another.
One Twitter user commentated on the cultural impact of North's jewellery, writing, "Since when do armenian people wear bindis? It’s bad enough that the kardashian-jenners rip off black culture, but putting that on your children ain’t it. Keep your children out of your mess."
It’s 4:50 a.m. and I saw a picture of North West wearing a bindi and a fake nose ring.. since when do armenian people wear bindis? It’s bad enough that the kardashian-jenners rip off black culture, but putting that on your children ain’t it. Keep your children out of your mess.

Kim later took to Instagram to clarify that the nose ring North was wearing was, in fact, faux. "Fake nose ring alert!!!" she typed above the image in question.
The reality star is yet to respond to the negativity directly. However, this isn't the first time her parenting skills have been questioned by the public.
Back in May, Kardashian-West was criticised for the positioning of her newborn baby boy Psalm after posting a picture of him snuggled in his crib.
