Rapper Lil Durk's 10-year-old son Zayden Banks has issued a statement in defence of his father following his arrest and possible jail time.

Lil Durk's son Zayden, 10, has shared a statement in defence of his rapper father following his arrest last week.
The 33-year-old rapper is currently in jail without bail following an arrest as part of a murder-for-hire plot in Florida.

Durk has seven kids, and one of his sons, Zayden, 10, has released some words relating to Lil Durk's arrest and possible life imprisonment sentence.
In a statement shared to his Instagram, the 10-year-old said that he "wants to take a moment to stand up for his dad, Durk Banks."
He has always dedicated his life to uplifting others and giving back to our community through his nonprofit organization, Neighborhood Heroes. Beyond that, he is a great father who has always supported and loved our family unconditionally."
"Right now, he is facing challenges, but I want to affirm that he has not been convicted of any charges and remains innocent until proven otherwise."
He continued, pleading with fans, "During this difficult time, I ask for your support for him and all the good he continues to do."
Zayden added that "I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the mayor for standing with my dad. His speech was well said and truly reflects the community's support for those who strive to make a positive impact."
Lil Durk, who was born Durk Devontay Banks, was arrested last week and charged for a murder-for-hire plot and is being held without bail.
The Chicago rapper has been charged with conspiracy to use interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death of Quando Rondo's cousin Saviay’a Robinson.
He is being accused of being behind the murder attempt of Quando Rondo, resulting in the death of his cousin.
Authorities have labelled Lil Durk has the leader of Only The Family, and say that the group acts "as an association-in-fact of individuals who engage in violence, including murder and assault, at the direction of Banks and to maintain their status in OTF."
One of OTF's members King Von was killed in 2020, and the five men charged last week have been charged in the retaliation shooting of Quando Rondo's cousin.
Durk's son isn't the only one to stand up for the rapper, with his longtime girlfriend India Royale being pictured at his court hearing this week.
