The 20 year-old rapper has taken to social media to address his stage name 'Lil Nas X', after receiving backlash claiming that there should only be one Nas.

On Tuesday (April 23), the Atlanta-bred rapper took to Twitter and revealed that he may change his name for obvious reasons.
The rapper tweeted “Nas is a legend and i never meant any disrespect by my stage name,” he wrote.
The 'Old Town Road' star continued : “I actually might change it in the future.”

Many of his fans urged him to keep his name as he has established his character and artist image using the name 'Lil Nas X'. Other fans deemed it disrespectful that he even had Nas in his stage name.

In other Lil Nas related news, has seems to be getting on his older hip-hop peers nerves including Dave East, who called 'Old Town Road' “wack”. East took to Instagram to express that he felt like the internet exaggerated his ill feelings about the song.
East said “You gonna ask the lil n***a what he thinks about what I say, he ain’t supposed to give a f**k what I say,” East said. He continued “I don’t give a f**k about what nobody says. I couldn’t even get mad [at him]. Internet tried to twist the whole sh*t.”
