The theory was sparked after Megan announced the news that she'd signed a deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label and shared a picture of herself with Jay-Z on social media.

Responding to that post, former NFL star Larry Johnson took to Twitter to share the theory and wrote, 'A coincidence : Her mother, who was her manager died in the month of March 2019, the same month of her âbreak out.â Music industry filled with the easily corrupt fatherless children looking for Satan to be the âdaddyâ they never had.'
But Megan responded to Johnson's message and denied the accuracy of what he said in his message.
Writing in her response, Megan said, "Just because YOU found out about me around the time my mother passed does not make what youâre saying accurate. Iâve been grinding for so long and would appreciate if you weirdos on the internet would stop trying to associate my mother having A BRAIN TUMOR with the f***ing devil."

People were quick to jump to Megan's defence and apologise to the rapper for even having to face an accusation like this just months after her mother's death.
